Hi all:D

Last saturday I did my first ever e-session with friends of friends. As primarily a child photographer, working with pose-able adults is quite an odd new world to me. I'm used to chasing my subjects around and making silly noises to get them to look :rofl

Anyway, I think the session went ok. I'd love some feedback. The lighting was a bit harsh at times and my 28-90 lens died(:cry) so all of these shots were from my nifty fifty (yep, L glass is next on my agenda!)

1. They started off very nervous, so I did lots of talking

3. after about 40 minutes they started to loosen up and relax

7. I know it's not everyone's thing, but I'm a sucker for a bit of flare

For a first timer, I think you've done a super job in both composition and processing. A very nice series....thanks for sharing.

...and FWIW....I am probably not the only one in "weddings" who goes full panic with two year old clients. Thats bravery right there!eek7.gif

I think these are lovely! Pretty light/processing, thoughtful comps, and you got some nice interaction from them regardless of whether or not you're used to working with "grownups" thumb.gif I especially like #6.

Yep it is. I didnt really notice it until I converted to B&W.

Oh yes the pre-teens are a handful! I have nephews that age and its impossibleheadscratch.gif

#4 was my favourite too. And there were 5 or 6 in that location that came out really nice. And it was the most spur of the moment part of the whole shoot. We were walking past that tree on our way somewhere else when I just said STOP! This looks perfect. I'm not sure if they knew I was shooting I just said relax and hold on a minute mwink.gif

This was a whole lot of fun, and I think I'm looking forward to doing more of these. Especially when my 24-105L arrivesmwink.gif

Thanks for the feedback it's much appreciatediloveyou.gif
