Sony Camera Lens Compatibility

I have a Sony dSLR350x and I want a good portrait lens but for some reason the Sony lenses are twice the Cannon and Nikon price :-( I remember reading somewhere that there was a lens brand that was not Sony but would fit on my Sony camera. Does anyone know what this brand(s) is? I would love to save myself a few bucks. Thank you in advance.

You need to check out the Lens database at Dyxum.com. Check in the 50 to 85mm range and you'll find several good options.

Check out SIGMA LENSES also......great quality and lower than sony or even a lot of used Minolta lenses.....Minolta prices sky rocketed when sony bought them out..........
