Above is Charleston Harbor

Below is looking towards Sullivan's Island. The little thing I did not clone away is the light house on the island.

Back behind me a storm is coming in, and it did!

I like the light in the first shot, the second is of a kind of environment that I really enjoy but the shot doesn't grab me. The third is my favorite. I've been to the outerbanks in NC and the second two are reminiscent of the area. BTW- to be a nit picker I thought the second shot was slightly of on the horizon. Certainly not a big deal. I looked at it in PS and my preference would be to rotate CW .5 degree. Sorry, don't mean to sound crazy.

    regards,

    Gary

The last one's my favorite. It makes me feel like home, a safe haven before that storm (it looks like a storm too) hits.

Thanks for looking and commenting Maverick and Gary. I checked out the second shot, and I think you are correct on the horizon. I mean I just looked at it for a sec and I would guess that.

I had to get home for my dogs, they had been crated a long time, if I could have stayed longer, the light would have improved, in which case the pinks would have come out more in the shot towards Sullivan's Island, or the light would have disappeared. It did rain later. At my house, a hop, skip and away from that place, but that hop can make a lot of difference in whether you get the storm or not.

The light was gorgeous driving home, just made me sick I was not back there, or one of the other places I go. I had been shooting an Osprey nest all afternoon, driving home I thought, "Oh, the poor dogs, but this is such a special day, high tides, Summer Solstice, Full moon".............gosh, I would have stayed out, but my husband was out of town, had to get to my dogs.

I know what you all mean, though. That cloud, it was unreal there over that house by the harbor.

    Thanks for stopping by,

    ginger
