i think its pretty hard to not blow out the highlights and get the colours just right at sunset but you did a great job!

Thanks for the replies. It was one of the most spectacular sunsets I had ever seen and I almost missed it. I happened to look out the window just in time and I ran and grabbed my camera, switched lenses and ran out to the back yard. It did look fake at certain times because the colors were so vibrant.
