Here's a shot of Crater Lake at sunset with Wizard Island. Enjoy!

Thanks, Chris! I never get tired of seeing this view at Crater Lake. I've only been there twice, but would love to spend more time exploring that beautiful area.

That long exposure is sweet! Great colors in the sky and reflection. Another place that I've been to before I was in photography that I need to get back to.

Thanks, Ron! The next time I go, I want there to be lots more snow. Imagine star trails over that scene! :D

Attractive pic, Mahesh, with your favored "pastel" feel.

I would like a little more detail-contrast-sharpness in the island in the foreground, a little more presence, to balance the very lovely stuff behind. The shadows of the trees in the water look strangely dark, compared to the island and trees themselves.

It all seems to list a fraction to port.

Lovely colors here and the composition is very nice as well. I still haven't visited Crater Lake but hopefully I'll get a chance in the near future.

Thank you, Neil, for the detail critique. The sharpness looks pretty good to me on my monitor, but I'll reexamine it at 100%. You're correct about the darkness of the reflected in the water, but that doesn't really bother me so much. I'd much rather have that than bright halos around it. That's probably what I'll get if I try to finesse that area too much. :D

Mahesh, this is a beautiful picture!! Since I was there this summer, I think I know pretty much exactly where you were. Your photo is similar to the one I took, EXCEPT, yours is much nicer!!You had much more color to work with and you just really know how to handle a camera much better than I do.
    Very nice photo!!!!
