I had to use 5 X 7, rather than the digital numbers, in order to get the wings in.

I have a new great book, one great page, shows exactly how to use RGB curves: Pro Digital Photographer's Handbook. Just the lightening, contrast curve, not the color ones..........bought it, planned to return it, would be lost without that page, so I kept it. Otherwise, I never used curves before, if I could help it. (Michael Freeman)

Thanks, Andy, let me know, if you see this, if it is "done", or if it needs more........ in an area with which I am familiar.

ginger: everyone else, too? Better?

Thanks, Ben! Appreciate knowing that. Now I am a bit nervous as to when to go vertical............... ??? I do like it myself, also the increased contrast.

I did want to add last night, that this is not a butt shot. The Osprey involved appears to be wearing an attractive skirt or kilt, depending on the gender.

I figured out why all these birds have their backs to me. They don't want to stare at the sun either.

Steve this is the Osprey shot I am so proud of. Andy helped with the composition. I had it horizontal. Also he suggested more contrast. Really shows up those little birds big mouths,rolleyes1.gif .

I guess it was worth 4 hrs to get this. Always before the fish has been partially eaten by the time it is delivered. I wanted to shout, I GOT A WHOLE FISH!

And I had nothing to do with that.

    Ginger,

This one looks real good thumb.gifthumb.gif Nice feather detail, contrast, sharpness and color clap.gif

You had no way of controling where he/she was flying so the shadowed areas on the parent were unavoidable. IMO, you got the exposure right on thumb.gif Plus he/she has a nice little fish to share with those hungry younguns :eat

Good work on this one Ging :D

The vertical arrangement give me the sense of height.
    Everything looks great thumb.gif
