Highway 46 in Central California is the route that takes you from the town of Cambria to the town of Paso Robles in California's famed wine country. It's quite the scenic venture, beginning near some of the most picturesk coastline anywhere in the world and ending up in one of the most premier wine making areas in the world. I had another chance to drive it today as we often do when visiting the coast. The sky was exceptionally clear for a hot, somewhat hazy summer so far. These shots were taken from various points along the drive. All pictures were taken utilizing a circular polarizer, on a Canon 1Ds Mk II with a 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L USM Lens..

I have been on this road once, but it was raining and foggy and I felt like I was driving along a cliff edge with nothing on either side of the road. It's really nice to see the landscape, now
