Q about scanning medium format film

I think I'm going to get maybe a dozen or two medium format photos scanned (Brite Pix probably). Some of them are positives, some are b&w negatives.
Do you see any reason to request digital GEM? The positives are Velvia 50 I think, and the negatives are mostly tmax 100 with some agfapan 25. I can't imagine grain would be an issue. ICE would be good for the positives, and can't be used on the b&w.

You might want to try posting that question at hybridphoto.com. There are lots of scanning experts over there that may be able to help you with your question.
