    Great capture, Gary! thumb.gif

That's closer to the edge than I ever hope to be, but after seeing Joel's shot of the sunrise, I may just have to get over my fear of heights.

I agree with everyone else, wonderful lighting in this shot! clap.gif

Very cool shot, Gary! Amazing color. :wow I assure you that you got a better shot of my back than I did of the canyon from that vantage. eek7.gif

Getting close to edges is a real head-trip. Not that that's close, because it's not. At that distance you're perfectly safe. But still, there are little alarm bells going off in your brain screaming at you to get away before something terrible happens. Funny how we're conditioned like that.

Great to finally meet you in person, Gary.

    Cheers,
    -joel

This is a nice shot. I too like the light flooding in like it is. thumb.gif

Glad Joel pointed out he was not that close. He could have moved forward a few more feet. Chicken!

Wow, this is a winner! Having kdog in the picture gives us a sense of the expanse, depth and ummm... height of the canyon! The colors are crazy! Love it!!!!! clap.gif

I wish you guys who went on these photo walks could incorporate your pictures in one thread!!! Maybe even by area... I'm all over the place trying to keep up! eek7.gif

By the way...I was at the rim (the little one:D) the next day and it was hot; looks hot here too!!!

Great shot Gary, I think if you turn on the volume you will hear the bells in Joel's head ringing. As everyone else said, nice lighting. Great meeting you on the trip, one important thing I learned from you - KISS.

Standing on the edge of those cliffs is what scares me when I think about going to the Grand Canyon. I must say that this is a very nice image. Good work!
