Smugmug Convention at NYC

This was a really nice event. Learned a bunch about the buisness of Photography and how social networking sites are your key to exposure. (Pun intended lol.)

    So you're saying I have to join facebook if I ever hope to make photography more than a hobby? :bash

    But, cool that you had the chance to meet f2f. Always nice to build flesh connections.

    Most of the business is made from referals. You post a few pics and tag your clients, all of their friends see them. Next thing you know, they are contacting you for shoots.

    You have to go where your clients are. So if they are hanging out on Facebook, they're giving you a great opportunity to market to them by joining.
