Saw this opportunity on a blade of grass. The moth has recently emerged from its coccon and is drying out its wings before flying off to find a mate.

I looked all round to see if I could spot this happening at the earlier stages but no luck:scratch

Thanks jpc. the body and wings are damp following emergence. The body gets to be very black when it has dried.
