My 4 year old is a better photographer than I am ...
Been meaning to post this for a few months, with a fatherly pride that borders on jealousy ...
At the Lamberton Conservatory in Rochester, NY my 4 year old boy took
this pic, and this and this. Oh, and this.
These are all pretty much straight out of the camera and posted to my wife's flickr account. (except the last, in which the top and bottom only were cropped.)
And here's the young artist in action:

I too have been outshot by my kid.
Keep a camera in his hand. My little guy is turning 10 in a couple months and is shooting a older DSLR. Changing lenses, playing with the different preset modes, doing a little post process in Lightroom, and lately playing with Aperture priority. He even has his own section on my site: http://aaronnewman.smugmug.com/TRN%20Photography
Keep him interested and you will have some great father son moments in your future even if it means getting out shot sometimes.

I swear the other day I saw a six year old with L-glass.

Despite all that I still let him o nuts with the powershot. Now I need to get some of his shots up and add to this thread. Or maybe make a post for people to contribute pictures taken by their young kids. Say put an age cap of 10 or 12 on it....
Looks like the apple didn't fall far from the tree.

It is interesting watching him compose his images on the display screen. He is very methodical about it. Normally he does have a Kidtech camera, we were letting him use the Kodak that day.
