It has been a super busy summer for me... I am having a hard time keeping up with my processing! But I just had to share this wedding, since it was a special one (to me).
You might remember the April engagement session I did for my HS friend, Kate. Anyway, now she and Jeremy are married. :lust

8. We have had so many forest fires lately, the inlet is almost obscured by smoke.

9. And just a little silliness. :wink

My little brother's company did the videography, so it was kind of fun to work with him. He is a cutie pie, huh!

11. Kate had 8 flower girls... and they all hovered around her like little butterflies...

12. There were LOTS of kids at her wedding, and they were so cute! I could have just spent the time following them around!

Wheeee! I've been waiting for this shoot since you teased it elsewhere a while back :D

My absolute fave is #4 with 6 and 3 coming in just behind, but, as usual, they're all lovely.

And can I just give the nod to Kate and say HALLELUJAH that a bride with curves had the sense to wear a shrug over the strapless gown. It looks SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much prettier that way! She's absolutely gorgeous anyway, but this was a perfect choice for her figure and she manages to look classy and hott simultaneously. Go Kate!

Wow, I remember this e-shoot, and I remember remarking how hot this bride was. True to form she is hot here too. Is that a PALM TREE? in Alaska? I really like these and I see them as a bit of a departure for you in composition and lighting and to an extent in processing. Your compositions are usually VERY clean and simple, these are a bit more eclectic, with the addition of foreground elements and strong negative space. Your hallmark in the past has been to use a good deal of fill flash, these are very natural, and a little edgy. The processing looks like you have been hanging out with Agnieska. Guess with so little light to work with most of the year, you really stretch out and make the most of it when you have it to work with. They look great.

You say "Halleluja" and I'll say AMEN! I just wish other girls could "get a clue" and follow her example. Her simple planning ahead and that flawless skin and huge smile really helped me out a ton in postwork! thumb.gif

Meanwhile, picture her while listening to one of the great ladies of Jazz and you'll pretty much get an accurate idea of her personality!

I don't really know what kind of tree it is.... it was potted, so I suppose it could have been...

I have a style? Cool! And what a compliment! (When I grow up I want to be Agnieska, so yay!) I do love taking advantage of the light... and my goal for the summer was to begin to use a very shallow depth of field... which adds more light and that feel I suppose. Glad you can see steps in the direction I have been trying so hard to go!

    Thank you Blurmore!

Beautiful! I love the look of number 1 and the emotion of number 6. I also like number 9--it's great when your bride and groom will have fun!

    Hey Mod, rolleyes1.gif

    Thanks for the kudos.

I guess you could say I am a sucker for little shining (and possibly messy) faces...

Thanks! I know! Isn't that a treat! Usually I can't coax these kinds of expressions until after the ceremony... but Kate has her own brand of spunk. I am sure that our many years of friendship (and inside jokes) helped.

    The whole series is terrific,

I especially like the composition of #4 and the treatment on 13.
Well, I guess you would call me... genus, humanus... Alice.

    Thanks Alice, Angie and Lara-

To Alice- I love #4 too! But I was worried that his eyes looking up like that might be viewed as too fem. But it seems to be ok, and I think I'll keep it!

To Angie- It just worked out! There was a greenhouse right there and it had the tools so handy we just HAD to make it happen.

To Lara- #1 IS mighty special. I just love it when real emotion comes through the photos.
