New Lense (nikon 300mm): Silver Eyes & Honeyeater
I sold my bigma recently and have bought a nice shiny new nikon f4 300mm
The day it arrived it was raining, but I did get in a little bit of sunlight for about 10 minutes. Here are a couple of initial shots of some of the dozens of silver eyes that have been visiting our garden recently. I am extremely pleased with the results in comparison to the bigma :thumb So much faster to lock on and so much sharper! :barb I can't wait to get out and put this little baby through its paces. I also got my 1.4 teleconverter today, but haven't had a chance to try them out together yet. Anyway, here are the pics. C&C welcome.

These shots are all good. Love the sharp eye detail.

We can't let the lack of sunshine deter us....now, can we!?:D
One thing with cloudy days...you can get a nice even shadowless look that can be quite appealing, as your's is.
Cheers Stephen. I'm champing at the bit to get out and use it. Unfortunately I have just received a translation job for the weekend, so can't get out to us it like I was planning!

Thanks Dan. I'm loving it already. Don't have to work as hard as I did with the Bigma

Yeah they are cool. This is one of a family that nest in our yard. They all work together in quite a big team to look out for each other.
