Maybe somebody posted before about promoting the galleries, but I didn't find.

Could anyone please share how they promote their galleries, how they bring traffic and eventually the sales ?

Is there minimum amount of images before the first sale comes ?

is a gallery considered a website ?
If so, should it be submitted to the search engines ?
Is search engine optimization applies here as well ?

any other ideas ?

Thanks!

i Doubt you will find very many people interested in pictures simply for their sake as pictures, in my experience anyways. You either need something really, really really good, or something personal like event pictures or portraits of people your inteded customers know. ne_nau.gif

I assume that many photographers who have a pro account, are not event photographers at all, and probably a majority. And I'm also sure that there are all kinds of people out of thousands visitors per day, looking for images for all kinds of reasons(what is the actual number ? ).
    Am I right ?

SM has the exact analysis of visitors - where they come from, what they are looking for, what keywords they are using to search...
    Would be interesting to know.
It would help in the keywording..etc

Is it the "keywords" that bring these people to your images ?

    Thanks!
