Not with a Macro Lens...but still counts I think.

Shot this at a shoot for my bosses wife's birthday party. It was probably my favorite photo of the night. What do you guy's think?
Shot with 50D, 50mm 1.4 @1.4, 125th, ISO 200.

The overall feel is very nice. I love the contrasting colors and the great DOF. Definitely worthy of framing.

Lord V., It's the top of wine bottles and their respective corks.

would be a nice detail in a series but nice on its own as well! great work on the colours.
Took me a good 15 seconds to figure it out as well.
Overall it's a great picture . The only criticism I would make is that I would have liked to see the cork turned a bit to expose more of the pattern.
Thank you. I could see that improving the photo. However, I don't like to contrive my shots (when I don't have to). I like to shoot as I saw it, untouched. For the majority of my work at least that is how I shoot. But yes, the design on the cork would have made for a nice focal point, aside from the obvious only thing not in bokeh...

lol, i saw it right the first time but i may have had too much 'contact' with wine bottles lately
I don't know that turning the cork would count as a contrivance.
Setting up a wine rack, creating a backdrop and adding a bunch of gelled lights would probably be a contrivance
