I didn't get many photos of the Desolation Wilderness that I liked, but here are two.

The first picture needs some color adjustments.

These images give me the impression that I know exactly what it felt to be there. And to me that's the key thing, to catch the feel of a place in a picture, and you seem to have really succeeded in that. Excellent!
enjoy being here while getting there

I'm trying to show how clean and pristine it was there. And how quiet too. :)

I like that first shot. Where abouts were you?

I've camped up near the Velma Lakes and into Dick's Peak area.
Very beautiful. If you go in near Eagle Falls, you get the teaser
walk--you can hear the water but not necessarily see it for a
    while :D

That was actually at Middle Velma. :) We got a little lost because of the amount of snow that was up there.

    Hi Tyler,
Very nice shots. I especially like #1, great feeling of solitude. #2 is good, but #1 really stands out for methumb.gif.

    Thanks for sharing,

I can see why you liked these 2 - they are beautiful! I like just a hint of orange sky near the horizons of both. The simplicity of the 1st shot is very appealing.

I personally like the first shot as well. Though I'm not sure if I should do anything with the color. It has a green hue to it, which can be corrected, or can stay the same. I'm not sure which would be more appealing.

    I love that first one.

It's begging to be sold to a movie studio as a backdrop for a movie poster.

Oooh I wish! If I had that possibility, I'd be more than happy to sell it. I really could use the money. (College classes and camera equipment are expensive! And I'm seriously struggling for college funds).

Hehe, with the responses I'm getting, I don't think it needs to be changed. Everyone finds it perfect how it is, and I'd have to agree with them! :) Thanks everyone!

I really like the first one. I bet in printed form (or bigger format) the stars stand out better...that's probably my only comment. Venus is nice, though it did start to trail a bit (planets will do that after only 5 seconds!), but the trail of Venus in the water is a cool effect too. How long was the exposure?
