The reason yellow is maxed out in CMYK is that it's out of gamut for some printing process or another [depends on your working CMYK settigs.] The reason it looks ok on NeiL's monitor is that it's not out of gamut for whatever his working RGB color space is and also in gamut for his monitor. This is a common situation. Making good prints from these sort of very saturated colors is one of the greatest prepress challenges. See Margulis' PPv5, I think chapters 14-16.
