    Interesting Jack,

Looks like some kind of strange tree about to be consumed in a fire.

    (I know it's not, but hey ne_nau.gif )

The colors in this is just beautiful. Kind of reminds me of a marsh during the fall. Who would of thought it was stuff you cleaned up out of your garden :D

Thanks Mary Kim.Ah as a matter of fact, now that I look at the folder it was in, it was indeed a marsh of sorts. The area was a catch basin for runoff from the parking lot of a large shopping mall. It was home to all sorts of critters (muskrats, ducks, geese, and all manner of birds).

At first I didn't know what to think then i came back and looked at it again and I like it. The right side is what draws me to the picture and then over to the left. It is interesting and the colors are really neat.

I like the bg bokeh and composition very much thumb.gif , but I wish the foreground (tree) was sharper.

It was a marsh area -- I knew I'd been out by the sloughs way to much this summer :D

    Hi Dan
Thanks for the input. Some of the softness is by design and some is a DOF issue (3" under the conditions shot).
