    first off; wonderful capture!

    im a bit torn between #1 where you can see its on a flower and #2 where the action is more clear but it looks like on a plastic garden table.. maybe something to take into account the next time.

    Chris - I was mainly interested in trying to get the prey identifiable in #2 but thought #1 set the scene :)

    Think there is no way given the magnification I was shooting at (4:1) that I could get the background to show it was sitting on a flower whilst getting the prey and mouth parts in focus. Must admit I do have a tendency to go for "scientific" shots rather than necessarily having a beautiful composition because that is what interests me. In other words I was happy with the photo because i achieved what I set out to do - I't not exactly the sort of picture I would hang on a wall though :)
