Blowing a gale, but dawn cheered me up with the colours of the early morning sky.

Thanks. Normally the light is Red/Orange when the sun is below the horizon but as it breaks through, the shorter wavelengths of light become visible. The sun is behind the bush next to the left hand mast. What made this so different, I believe, was the very low deep cloud-base which kept the land so dark.
