Hi Again,

I'm considering this for my next purchase due to the price.. Roughly 20 usd. :D

I'm currently using spectralight. http://www.spectralightdiffuser.com/ whick is like demb's flip it only better ( for me that is )

Will this combination do good ( in terms of shadow on the side during portrait mode)

I'm having a hard time imagining if I flip the arm of the bracket will this make the flash above my lens during portrait mode?:huh

and will my finger be above ( like normal shooting during portrait mode ) or will I need my finger to push the shutter below?

No pictures are posted while installed on the camera. only these 2 were available!

forgot to ask If I use this flash bracket does it mean I need to direct flash or would the spectralight work?

It is impossible to predict with certainty but I doubt that the flash and Flip-It will land to exactly the right position when the camera is in portrait mode and the flash/diffuser flipped. You might have to create a "stop" for the bracket if you want it positioned exactly above the lens in portrait position.

I did something similar with the Stroboframe Quick Flip 350 and it works fairly well.

    Flash-Flip vs. Camera-Flip brackets
A flash flip bracket will require a repositioning of the flash head/reflector-diffuser when switching the camera from horizontal (landscape) to vertical (portrait) position.

The flash will stay above the lens but the head will be pointing in the wrong direction. As illustrated by this image.

However, when using a camera flip bracket - the flash will be in the correct position for both horizontal and vertical shots.

I am attaching tha image of a camera flip bracket to the next post since I dont know how to attach more than one image to each post.

    Camera-Flip Bracket
I have attached an image of a camera-flip bracket witch allows the same flash orientation in both the horizontal and vertical camera positions.
