So you're not feeling well, and first you've got to get in that damn car and drive to the doctor...and then they keep you sitting in the waiting room...

Then they call you into the examining room, and it's hurry up and wait. Don't they think know your time is as valuable as theirs?

And you wait, and wait, and...Damn, this is boring!

Finally! Hey! Watch where you put those hands, Mister!!

    I LOVE this set!! thumb.gif

Compelling narrative and subject aside, the comps are really cool - the 2nd and 3rd in particular. (And what's this .... COLOUR from BD? :D)

Great set. I hope that it was a routine visit and that kitty is OK.

Is kitty feeling better? Did anyone else notice the vet's examination "pose" was the same as the photograph on the wall just above him?

Thanks all...And Fluff is doing well for a 16-year-old who somehow only weighs 8 pounds now days. But he's enjoying life.

    1. Very nice set piece.
    2. This really shows why one should never be without a camera.
    3. I am dying for a little camera that I can actually get good shots from. I've had a succession of pas's and never gotten even one worth the bits to hold it. Maybe this upcoming Oly micro-2/3s?
    4. Our 16 year old cat needed radioactive iodine to cure her hyperthyroid condition. Jeez, if the cat is getting that (much as I love her), no wonder our health care costs are out of control. Yesterday I met a retired liver transplant surgeon on the beach...
    If not now, when?

Thanks Wil - And, yup, Medicare for the Mayor. But as Rutt noted, things have gotten a tad crazy. The vet found a heart murmur and proposed a cardiac ultrasound!

"And how much would that be?" I not-so-innocently asked.

    "Only about $450," he replied.

"And if you find a problem? Then what? A heart transplant?"

"Oh, we'd put him on medication," he said, adding that "some times they have these things and it really doesn't effect them."

"$450 ultra-sound for a cat who's already on meds for hypothyroidism and is down to eight pounds - and is 16?! 112?! I think we'll pass."

And how many Americans don't have any health insurance coverage what-so-ever?

    End of rant.

(And by the way - I have a dog and three cats and love the dog and two of the cats - including Fluff - dearly. Anyone who wants the third cat, just let me know. rolleyes1.gif )

Yes, the micro 4/3 is extremely tempting - especially if paired with the 34mm equivalent lens and clip on viewfinder.
