    Non-professional opinion:

    First one, I think, would be better with the subject in focus and the reflection out of focus (I may be wrong on that, though). The texture out the window (trees?) makes everything in the window soft already.

    In the second one, I'd have cropped the people upriver out of the frame and gone square aspect. The lighting is cool on the foreground, and the background seems like clutter (IMHO).
