Still in the plastic! I have the exact lens on my T1i and can attest that it's quite incredible for the price. The range alone makes it pretty much the perfect every-day, general-purpose lens.

I'm attaching a couple pics to show the compact size of this lens both fully extended and reeled in with hood reversed.
I'm going to go $480 local pickup(CASH!) in/around the north Dallas area. OR, $510 shipped using Paypal. That should just about cover UPS ground and Paypal's fees I think.
