Fort Point

I visited Fort Point last month with Cuong, who generously loaned me his IR-modded DSLR. We spent a lot of time inside the fort than on top of it.

    Beautiful images! The comps and processing are firs rate. thumb.gifclap.gif I was there a few month ago and have some similar shots. :D
    Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap but memories are priceless.

    Nice series thumb.gif

    Really shows that IR doesn't necessarily have to be an outdoor shot with foliage that looks like snow to be a cool shot.

    Dig that 1st one...kind of a cool take on the vanishing point.

    These came out very well, you seem to really have an appreciation for the history of the place, as well as the light play and nuances... I see now they are open every day except Tuesday and Wednesday.

    Thank you for the complement. This was the first time I was able to get inside the place. Prior visits were met with closed doors. It is open more days now.

    Awesome series, especially the last one. You put that modded 30D to good use. It was nice to have a local guide for the tour.

    Thank you. To avoid crowd, visit on a weekday or when it's really windy and cold.
