Monsoon in the desert

As most of you know, it's monsoon time here in the AZ desert. I've seen a lot of great shots over the past few weeks, and thought I'd contribute a few.

These first ones were taken in my driveway one evening last week. I'm still pretty green on lightning shots, but I liked the way these came out.

(It's the roof rack on my bug, in case you were wondering.)

These next couple were taken at the Peralta Trailhead while there was a storm meandering through the area.

(Just noticed some dust spots I missed.)

And this one I took this evening. it didn't turn out the way I was seeing it in my head, but I guess if they were all perfect every time we'd never be able to improve our skills.

Hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

    Wow. Some great weather shots!

Were you at a VW rally?

    Thanks.

The VW's belong to some members of my car club. We meet weekly at a little show near my house. During summer there are about 100 cars, but in the winter there can be upwards of 300 every Saturday night, of all makes and models. because of the weather yesterday though, no one came out to play. guess their wipers didn't work or something. :)

Nice lightening shots. The fourth one is fantastic! I love the old aircooled veedubs.

Beautiful, varied shots! I like the lightning ones, especially. thumb.gif
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap but memories are priceless.
