Having spent most of the month trying to stretch my skills to meet my vision for a number of songs I finally settled

for something my skills could deliver on.

I happened to be passing a small summer fair, with a fairly well worn carousel, when Jem's "Just a Ride" came on my

iPod.

The bit that got my attention:

It's just a ride, it's just a ride
No need to run, no need to hide
It'll take you round and round
Sometimes you're up
Sometimes you're down
It's just a ride, it's just a ride
Don't be scared
Don't hide your eyes
It may feel so real inside
But don't forget it's just a ride

#2 for me. I like the processing and the POV of the shot. thumb.gif

I like both. The processing is great.

(.... is it just me or is this carousel going the wrong direction? it just caught my eye. Interesting)

I like the overall look of #1. It actually looks a little like you used a tilt-shift lense because it has a slight miniture effect. And I am a big Jem fan, so great song!

#2 gets my vote, #1 is nice but the perspective is too ordinary (IMHO)
    But #2, very nicethumb.gif

#2 is my favorite of the group. If you have time though, I might try to clone out the lamp post/building in the background.

This is a great image...love the layers of paint!

Thanks for the comments everyone, they are much appreciated.

In #2 I was trying hard to get the bright & cheery colours and the layers of paint whilst maintaining the creepy appearance, I'm pleased I appear to have pulled it off.

Donna & Tatiana - I get the impression that carousels go the other way round over here (may be we're just backwards) :D
