Hi Folks:

A few shots taken yesterday at Lake Tahoe (South Tahoe), by the Tallac Historic Site. I went with fellow photographer and had a great time. Wonderful fellow, and the site was fantastic. One caveat, I am processing on a laptop and nothing looks quite right to my eyes. I hope I have not left too many dust spots on them, or done too much. Taken with Nikon D300, a 35-70mm 2.8, and a Sigma 10-20mm.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated,

A gorgeous place, Nacho! I love the sweet light shots in particular, with the wall of mountains creating a really pretty blue border between sky and water. thumb.gif

Thanks Dan, thanks Schmoo. I like Tahoe, it is a beautiful place (and my wife and I came here for our honeymoon many years ago). The morning was just glorious. I'll be here for a few more days so, will try to post other shots later.

Tahoe is definitely blue and clear, although I think Crater Lake is bluer. I want to capture
that blue late in the evening - at astronomical twilight perhaps, or just before.

    Thanks again

I like the two dead tree & water shots out of this set. I have been to Tahoe twice unfortunately they were both before I was really doing anything with photography. Hope to get back one day.

Beautiful, well thought-out shots, Nacho. The compositions are impressive, as is the light you captured. Strong work! thumb.gifclap.gif

Thank you all for the wonderful remarks. Thanks also for the comments on composition Tha. I look forwad to visiting Tahoe in winter. I hear it is a must see. The light this time around was great indeed. I left the house at 4am, made it to this site by 5am and just had to wait a bit before it was light enough to start.

    Thanks again,

Number 8 and 10 are my favorites.

I love the variety of color in 8. It's too bad mother nature didn't arrange a few clouds in the sky for you. Oh well, a good excuse to go back to Tahoe. :D Nice job and thanks for sharing!
