Peterson's Photographic Digital Photography Guide
I'm completely new to photography and picked up Volume 3 of Peterson's Photographic Digital Photography Guide in the magazine section of Barnes and Noble. I liked the issue so well that I ordered Volumes 1 and 2 from the publisher. If you're a noob like me, I'd recommend starting with Vol. 1 first.
The guides are so simply written and illustrated that someone with a clean photography slate such as myself can easily understand the technique and theory.
