Terrific--are you sure it's your first? :D This is a lovely shot. What lake is this? I used to live in Mtn Home--absolutely loved Idaho. Hope to see more shots from you.

Hi Lauren ! This is Mann Lake or Spangler res. north of Weiser about 10 miles or so ...

Yes it is in fact my first well I should say stitched together panorama I have done , the sky just demanded it I think . I loved the out come Now I wish I had been doing these in the past :cry

Don't shed any tears on not doing panos in the past. You live in a great place with some terrific opportunities for panos, and for HDR. Just go out now and start doing them and I bet you'll be pleased. I'd love to see some panos of the Snake! I bet you can get some good shots at the Fiddlers contest too--maybe not panos, though. rolleyes1.gif

    Keep shooting!

Beautiful pano, Ed! The composition is amazing and the colors are beautiful. thumb.gif I do think the shot could benefit from a little highlight and deep shadow recovery. I don't see detail at all in those areas.

Thanks ! The original has all the detail but before saving the file I decided to have a look at it darker, so I just adjusted the curves darker , and liked the look despite the shadow loss , with that said I am doing a new one with out the shadow loss, for the printed versionmwink.gif

I know what you mean I've just debated them for years is all and now finding them more enjoyable to do I guess.
