Sails of the South

As a welcome to Portsmouth, this was erected at the junction of East/West motorway entrances to Portsmouth Island. It looks even more impressive at sunset from the Hilsea Lakes.

Taken with the Olympus E500 + ZD 40-150. Fl 84mm, F4, 1/160S, ISO 100, Handheld.
It breaks the rules but, with careful positioning, the camera handled the bright light from the sinking sun without too much burn-out in the image.

Really beautiful colors, Peter! The way the colors are coming through the sails makes me want to go sailing right away.
