Rust, rot, and canola in the July sun

I loaded up my bike with some camera gear and went for a ride through the blooming canola fields around Saskatoon.

I happened upon an abandoned farm site and poked around a bit. Full gallery here. The sun was harsh and I can't help feeling I buggered it up a bit, but I hope you enjoy some of the captures.

Appreciate any general comments or C&C. I'm a n00b, and trying to absorb anything I can.

Thanks for looking!

Nice series, Mike! I find the composition of the 3rd shot quite beautiful. Great job! thumb.gif
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap but memories are priceless.

Great site selection, lots of potential. You should go back at sunrise/sunset! :D

    My suggestions:

    1) Tighter crops, get closer to the subject.
    2) If there's nothing dramatic in the sky, don't include it in the picture, it dilutes the final result.

    cheers!!
    Marc.
