This is my first pic posted on this forum so CC is welcome. Last weeks lighting was pretty good, this was my best shot.

Welcome to Dgrin! That's what I call to come with a bang! mwink.gifclap.gif
Great capture! I would only suggest to crop it vertically, leaving pretty much only lighting, since the negative space doesn't add much tot he picture. deal.gif

Ooh. That's cool. Great detail and lighting on this. I agree that cropping it vertically would probably make it even better. thumb.gifthumb.gifthumb.gif

That's pretty awesome. I see one dust spot just about halfway up the left hand side over where the leftmost extent of the bolt is. (just at the orange to purple transition). There's another one just up from it as well. I'd also heal out the reddish orange dot just above the lit house (that a tower on South Mountain?) I know, picky picky!

Not sure I'd crop it though. I don't think the space at right is hurting the shot that much.

    Excellent capture.

WOW!! This is the mother of all lightning shots. :D What I like about this is not only the color and the fact that you can see the houses, but you really can tell you're looking upwards at this. It makes the sky seem so much larger and threatening.

Welcome to Dgrin and I think you'll fit right in lol3.gif

The first thing I noticed when opening this is that the clouds look like a face, just about where the lightning is coming down from. Very cool!
