Good Afternoon Folks,
I shot this guy (or girl) earlier today at a local pond. I believe it's a Map Turtle, but I'm not 100% sure. Any help is greatly appreciated :thumb
Thanks for looking and have a good afternoon :D

Looks like it might be a red eared slider, the ears aren't as brightly red as I'd expect so perhaps a close relative.

I'm not a turtle expert, I know the red eared one because my friend has one as a pet and yours looks pretty much like it.
    Creativity's hard.

I thinks it's the common Painted Turtle.

Looks nothing like a Map Turtle to me.

I was confused by the yellow in the neck area. thumb.gif A painted turtle fer sure, since I have seen that same shell design in the pond.
Thanks again and have a good afternoon :D
