MX shots from Saturday night
Well, my shoulder has finally healed enough from surgery that I could hold my camera and lens for a night of racing so I made it out to one of my tracks. I had a blast and have missed this so much. I don't know how many more times I'll be shooting my local races anymore though as it looks as if I'm getting a new bike this weekend. I found a 09 Kawasaki KX450F in immaculate condition and the guy agreed to take $5000 for it. I'm leaving this afternoon to fly to Houston for my 6 week check up from my orthopedic surgeon to tell me if everything is healing properly. If so, he should be giving me the thumbs up to start riding again in 2 months when the new bone in my shoulder is healed. I cannot wait! I've already bought new riding boots, helmet, goggles, and a new Leatt brace with custom graphics. Anyway, I'm just babbling on, how about some pics!!! Enjoy
Oh BTW, I played around with white balance and gels for a bit to see if I like them on a set of pics. I used I think it was 5000k white balance and the orange gel on my flash. It made the pics pretty warm. Next time I'm going to take more gels and try different white balances. I put a few of the pics from the set in this album towards the end and should be recognizable. Let me know what you guys think of them.

Congrats on the bike....it shall be a tough choice between riding and shooting. Even when you bring your camera gear with you, it will probably end up sitting in the truck all day!
Man, I wish I was staying, but I fly back here tomorrow. I hear ya, on the decision factors!! I figure I'll ride till I get arm pump, then grab the camera.
