Watermarking not working?

Yesterday AM, I added watermarks to the first gallery in my Fine Art category successfully. In late afternoon, I made a global change to add watermarking to the rest of Fine Art galleries using SmugBrowser 0.5.9. Today, although I confirmed that gallery customization has watermarking checked and correct watermark for all galleries, none of the photos show the watermark (except for the first gallery). Why no watermarks?

Addendum.... Went to Fine Arts/Louisiana gallery. Customization showed watermarking checked and correct watermark but photos showed none. Went to Tools/Many Photos/Watermarking. Showed correct watermarking but was in "add" mode. Selected all photos and clicked "Watermark" button. Then watermarks appeared after a few minutes.

Question: Even though Customization has watermarking selected, do we have to still use the Tool Watermark to actually display?

I believe that using SmugBrowser like that only sets the watermarks for future pics added to the galleries. You need to go in to customize gallery to apply the watermark to the existing photos.
