For me, overall they seem a little over saturated, but thats just my personal taste.
You picked great locations to shoot from, excellent backgrounds and most important, the lighting and mood of the images is top notch.

Yeah, I was trying a few new things in post and I wasn't sure if I overdid the saturation a bit. I kinda liked it, so I ran with it. I'll bump it back on a few more and try to get them posted later today.

Do you have any of 555, Jerry Lymburner? He's a local rider from Alaska. He flew down and rode a Kaw 250 for the race this weekend.

Agree with your thoughts on #3! Unreal shot!!! If you dont mind - what gear were you using? Those look like polarized googles and somehow you made the eyes appear!!! Any PP you care to share with the class too?!

Agreed. Great timing and composition, but the oversaturation is very distracting.

@NorthernHorse - I've got a few of Jerry. I'll try to get some time over the next few days to add a couple to the thread.

@BCSPhotoguy - These were all shot with a D3 + 70-200 +1.4TC. Some also used SB-900. I have a bunch of batch actions that I run in a few different tools after tuning for the specific shoot. If you have a specific question about my post I can try to answer it.

Based on the feedback, I figured I'd repost with a desaturated version to see if you all think the desaturated version is better. I appreciate the feedback on this. I'm trying some new things in post and I working on getting the right balance.

Ah ya lucky duck I didn't get to go to Shoogal this year Nice shots also Like the second posing a wee bit better , I'll say this you can tend to get away with alot more sat. if you go into selective color and back off the reds a bit after wards, red goes along way!

Like all your shots 3 is a great one that really has some great elements I like to see.

But #5 is my bud so gotta give Jake my thumbs up !

Awesome can't wait to see them. I like the 2nd batch better. Lucky for me, we have nice brown sandy dirt here so I never know if it's because of the red dirt so many of you have to deal with or just my monitor on my laptop....
