Sorry for posting the same picture that I asked for an ID on, but I didn't know the Whipping Post was closed.

This is one that grew on me. I couldn't decide whether I liked it or not and then my wife says that she REALLY likes it. That's almost the worst advice you can get. The background has been pp'd to saturate the colors more as the whole background was just too monotonic. Opinions?

There is something to be said about a shot with a simple background. I like reflection shots too. I just wonder if there is too much background, too much empty space... Maybe a tighter crop? ne_nau.gif

IMHO the shot is pleasing and has a feel good mood about it (if that makes scene) but perhaps has a bit too much empty space.

    Keep them coming!

The image is interesting but a tighter crop would normally help. In this image there is no definite haloing around the subject which would become more noticeable with a tighter crop. I can't tell if the haloing is CA or the result of sharpening.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

There's plenty of space for a tight crop. I'm in a phase of trying new crops both loose and cutting away. I feel like 95% 0f my bird photos get cropped just like this one: centered, whole, and balanced. That's good for Audubon books but not great art.
