I revisited Buttonwood Farms giant sunflower fields this year. We had an incredible sunset, and after I weaseled my way in amongst all the other photographers and the "p&s" crowd, I got off a few shots.

Spectacular shtos, Bryan! I especially love that 1st shot with the moon. Awesome! You may be able to get some detail out of the dark tree, if you are inclined to do so. :D
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap but memories are priceless.

Coolness. I like #4 the best.
    More Photography . . . Less Photoshop [. . . except when I do it]

Very cool place - I looked at their website and it seems that they planted 14 acres of sunflowers this year - all going to a great cause! Of the shots, posted, I like #4 the best. I have to ask if it is at all possible to get up close to the sunflowers - that would make for some killer shots.

Thanks! I wasn't sure if I could anything out of that tree. I was holding back the sky and most of the tree with a 3 stop grad so I think it would be too noisy.

    Thanks!
Last year I was able to walk out amongst the sunflowers, but I don't think you are supposed to. There were cows in the field adjacent to the sunflowers this year plus just too many people around for me to jump the fence. I'd suggest going for sunrise when no one is around. ;)
