I've been looking, but I can't seem to find a way to activate visitor view from the menus in a gallery. Am I missing something or is it just not possible? :scratch

Fire up a second browser that is not logged in and copy the URL into the second browser. Visitor view.

I always have a second browser around to see what my site looks like to my viewers. With Firefox and Safari both supported by Smugmug and free on both Windows and Mac, there's always a good choice for a second browser.

Thank you both for the suggestions. I've actually used both, even before there was a 'visitor view' feature. I just thought there was an option for it within a gallery. I somehow remember there being an option for this under tools...headscratch.gif

After I review a gallery as the owner and hide whatever I wish to, I like to review what the gallery looks like to the visitor. Right now, I open my SM home in another tab and then just select it from there, and then refresh the tab with the gallery.

I'm sure with some javascript, a button could be added, but there's already so much javascript overhead that I'm starting to make my own shortcut links to the different features in SM because it's faster.

The thing is, "visitor view" is just a simulation. I'd rather see what Smugmug generates when I'm really not logged in. I have the Firefox add-on called IEView. I just right click in the page and say "open in IE" and I instantly have a logged out view of that page.

We're not adding any more, sorry :D Use visitor view button from homepage or category, or even better and more accurate, use John's suggestion of a second browser. thumb.gif

Yeah, my brother showed me that recently. It's slick.

I've just found that it just uses up a lot of resources to have an instance of IE and FF running when there's a lot of images, so I try to avoid that.
