They make my skin crawl.
They make my spine tingle.
They bring back memories of when I was a kid and my big brother told me horrible (untrue) stories that they eat your brains out by entering through your ears.
They make me pull my hand back in horror.
They (along with centipedes) would give me nightmares if one were to crawl onto my bed in the night.
They come around every year.
They are just....
Earwigs.
By hell on earth, I don't like them. At all. Except...
...when they are in front of my macro lens, of course.

I am very new to this and am surprised by the 8.000s exposure time. Was the decimal point off on the exif data?
No, 8 seconds it was. And the earwig wasn't dead, it was just "passive".
