One of the avenues I do in my photography is my own custom artwork. I photography nature in general and frame the prints and sell through a couple local galleries. Seeing the joy and success these galleries have had in the art community in the area, I have been bitten by the bug about opening my own gallery.

My issue is, I live on an Island where you have to pay to come over the bridge from the mainland. We are a artist community, but I'm not sure the clientel from the Island would be good enough to support such a business. My thought on the gallery would be to sell my work plus some fellow artists work, and use it to promote my other phtography services.

In town we do however have a very popular hotel. The hotel has just a small candy counter type store for the guest needs. Do you think a photographic gallery in the lobby of this hotel would be something good for both my business and the hotel in general, or would it be out of place and something that would be a waste of my money and time?
