I did some shots on Olvera Street last March. I think it's interesting that you shot B/W, because the whole area is very colorful (pinatas, signs, shops). You definitely captured a mood. Thanks for sharing.
wow...really nice series. I was just watching Genius of Photography and seeing the street scenes there. My thought was that it is not possible any more since everything is so modern now....

This group is really terrific - really great - especially number one. Congratulations! I would definitely lose the name dropped onto number one, or is that on the sidewalk? It really detracts from what is otherwise an outstanding street photo. And I have to say that I find the tilt in #8 distracting; you've got a great shot there without resorting to gimmicks.
