Darter dragonfly shots. The male darter on finger shot was interesting. It was doing it's territorial thing by the pond and would not let me near it. After the umpteenth time of scaring it off, I stuck my finger in the air (not in frustration) and it came down and landed on it and then did not mind me moving it towards the camera.

Really love the colours and compo in the first shot!
Shades of Hyperion photography
Extraordinary photos can not be had standing where everyone else is standing, looking where everyone else is looking
I would push the contrast and color of the head close-ups a bit more...
Chris - agree - I have gardening hands/fingers
Mark - I drink lots of coffee
Carmelo - you are probably right re the colour of the last ones for a bigger impact, but I'm a bit of a purist now re colour and normally don't play with it for bug shots apart from colout temp correction on flash shots.
