Nicely done. I really like the DOF on the first one.

May I ask what equipment you are using?
Jeff Meyers
I try to get as low as I can when photographing dogs and have been found laying on my belly in a pool of mud before now trying to capture the right image.
I use Canon equipment. With these two images I used a Canon 40D + Canon 70-200mm f4L.
The first image's exif is
Camera Make: Canon
Camera Model: Canon EOS 40D

Flash Used: No
Focal Length: 200.0mm
CCD Width: NaNmm
Exposure Time: 0.0020 s (1/500)
Aperture: f/4.5
ISO equiv: 400
White Balance: Auto
Metering Mode: Matrix
Exposure: shutter priority (semi-auto)
and the second
Camera Make: Canon
Camera Model: Canon EOS 40D
Image Date: 2008:10:29 14:54:45
Flash Used: No
Focal Length: 200.0mm
CCD Width: NaNmm
Exposure Time: 0.0020 s (1/500)
Aperture: f/5.0
ISO equiv: 400
White Balance: Auto
Metering Mode: Matrix
Exposure: shutter priority (semi-auto)
I also use a Canon 5D MkII, Canon 70-200mm f2.8L IS, 24-105mm f4L IS plus other Canon Lens when out on a Field Trial.

Welcome to Dgrin Steve
What an interesting area of Photography you work in.
I think your the first person in this field I have seen post here.
The dogs are very serious about their role,
you'd get some super shots of them in action I bet
Do both dogs have Pheasants in their mouths? or are they some other type of bird?
Great expressions on the Dogs faces you've captured with these.
They both look pretty pleased with themselves with their catch.
Nicely done Steve, and a great introduction to the Forum
