Hi all,

I'm venturing away from indoor sports as I was asked to shoot an engagement session. A little scary, but Alison and Billy seemed quite happy to have some photos of themselves more than an armlength's distance from their faces!

I'd love some C&C on these:

#1 is pretty good. They look good, but the background is kind of blah.

#2 I like her smile, but not the post between them, and the way his face is kind of lost against the post.

#3 Too tilted, and her front leg looks awkward. I think I like the background, but it would be better if it were thrown out of focus.

#4 is my favorite of the bunch.

Overall, I think they'll certainly like these--number four is my favorite, too. It's more relaxed looking and seems to capture their personalities. I don't really like the look of the flash in number one. I agree--the background needs to be out of focus to draw our eyes to the couple in the railroad shot.

    1) Seems just a bit underexposed to me. They look pretty good but the background needed to be blurred.

    2) I actually like the pose on this one - I think it's cute. I think this one is also a hair dark.

    3) I don't like crooked shots and the background is too busy.

    4) This is a nice capture - they should love it!

#4 is fantastic. great natural shot!!!, I agree that the flash in #1 is a wee bit strong. #2- I think the post is too distracting.

Thanks for your comments! I'll keep working at this...not quite feeling comfortable yet with the pose directions, so the candids turn out best for me at this point! ne_nau.gif

    # 3, girls should never hyper extend their knees/legs, a better look would have her bending her leg and raise the heel as if wearing a high heel.
