New Galleries too dark in Firefox

I have a really weird issue. The last 2 galleries I have uploaded appear way too dark in firefox. Previous galleries look fine. The 2 most recent galleries look good in IE8. The 2 galleries in question also appear to be ok on my wife's computer with firefox. I have had other people look at the pictures, I have received no negative comments. But I don't know anything about what browser they are using. The 2 galleries are the only 2 that I have used the new Simple Uploader with. When I say too dark, there is a complete loss of detail in dark areas and blacks appear much blacker in the smugmug gallery than the original jpg that I am uploading when viewed side bey side. Here are the 2 galleries.

and a previous gallery

any help with this issue would be appreciated.

Firefox has a color management bug in FF3.5.1, fixed in 3.5.2 which is in beta now, and GA soon - it'll be better then :)

    https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=488800
    https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=497363

    Wait, or options:

    Disable color management...
    1. Type about:config in the address bar
    2. Type gfx.color_management into the Filter field
    3. Double click the gfx.color_management.mode item
    4. Set the value to 0
    5. Restart Firefox

Or rollback to an older version of Firefox... http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

    Cheers!

Careful, color management should be working in FF 3.6.3 (it does for me). If turning color management off in a browser where color management works gives you better results, it probably means that the color profile on your computer is messed up. Going with no profile (which is what you get when you turn color management off) might be better than a really bad profile, but it isn't likely accurate either. You probably ought to profile your monitor and fix the color calibration issue for real.

Hmm, interesting. I haven't had my monitor profiled (I guess the best way is using the Spyder tool?). After switching off colour management the images in FF certainly look much closer to what CS3 and Lightroom are showing me. I'll stick with it for now, but will see if I can get the profiling done.

    Thanks for the response.
