A couple of Wasp photos

I don't particular like wasps that much to be honest, but they are interesting insects nonetheless, and as such, when I got the chance, thanks to a fallen apple, I took the opportunity to get a couple.

First has got better eye detail, but I prefer the second because the wasp is busy washing one of its forelegs.

    Paul.

    Hi Paul,

I think Wasps have got very photogenic heads.
The structure of the head with eyes that seem to wrap around reminding me of the shape of earphones, leading to those powerful jaws, is very Sci-Fi looking.

I've been stung by a European Wasp in the past,
which I never want to experience again, man that thing was caught in my clothing and stung me more than 20 times before I could get it out.

I like the second shot of it cleaning it's foot thumb.gif

Nice work Paul :D .... Skippy
