Firefox - IE8

I finally understand that while two-thirds of my viewers access my site via Internet Explorer, a growing number of viewers are accessing the site via Firefox. I want to see how my site displays in both browsers. I have Internet Explorer 8 installed on my laptop. I want to download Firefox 3. My question is this: can I have two browsers on my laptop, and access each one when I want by clicking the appropriate icon? Is there something I need to know, or do I just download Firefox and it's as simple as that?

Thanks,
Linda

Firefox and IE are completely separate applications. They run independently and you can even have them both open at the same time. They literally don't even know about each other. Thousands of us (myself included) have both on our system and I run them both regularly, just by clicking on the appropriate icon. I also have Safari and Opera too and one could add Chrome too if you wanted. They are all separate.

The ONLY place where the browsers collide and you must pick one browser is which one will be your system default that will be the one that opens when Windows wants to open an URL by itself. I pick Firefox for that, you can pick either one.

Well, consider Firefox one step closer to its one-billionth user. (Oh, wait, they surpassed that number like two days ago.) Okay, then, one billion and one, give or take tens of thousands!

    Thanks,
